Indonesian President Joko Widodo arrives in Islamabad

The visiting dignitary will address joint session of Parliament today

Indonesian President Joko Widodo arrived in Islamabad today on a two-day visit to Pakistan.

The visiting dignitary will address the joint session of Parliament today. Joko Widodo will be the second President of Indonesia who will address the joint sitting of the Parliament, Radio Pakistan reports.

Earlier, President of Indonesia Dr Ahmed Soekarno had addressed the National Assembly of Pakistan on June 26, 1963.

President Mamnoon Hussain will host a state banquet in honor of the visiting President.

Joko Widodo will hold one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi which would be followed by delegation level talks between the two countries on Saturday. Various agreements and MoUs will be signed on the occasion.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Indonesian President Joko Widodo will also address a joint press conference.

The Prime Minister will hold a luncheon in honor of the visiting dignitary later.
