Prosecution witnesses Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Deputy Director Saeed Ahmed Khan, Lahore Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) Mohammad Naeem, former Nadra director Qaboos Aziz, analyst Zafar Iqbal Mufti, Inland Revenue Commissioner Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, and Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Deputy Director Mirza Faizur Rehman testified before the court.
Ishaq Dar can’t finance his lawyers
Judge Mohammad Bashir is conducting Dar’s trial in connection with a reference accusing him of amassing assets beyond known means of income.
The court, which has already declared Dar a proclaimed offender and has been recording evidence in his absence, has summoned five more witnesses on January 29.
LDA official Rehman produced records of a property owned by Dar in Gulberg, Lahore, revealing that the property had previously belonged to film star Deeba.
ECP’s Saeed Khan produced details of assets declaration of Dar which he used to submit before the commission during every fiscal year.
ETO Lahore Mohammad Naeem produced details of a vehicle owned by Dar, while Mufti produced a Bank Credit Inflows Report before the court.

The report highlighted details of bank accounts and private companies which belong to Dar and his wife Tabassum Ishaq Dar.
Nadra’s ex-official Qaboos Aziz apprised the court that he had provided NAB with records related to Dar’s family tree and his daughter, who lives in the UK.
NAB’s prosecutor Imran Shafiq requested the court to summon prosecution witnesses Inamul Haq of Al-Falah Cooperative Society, Azhar Amin of District Officers Industries, and three NAB officials on January 29.
In the next hearing, prosecution witness Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan would also produce some additional records relating to Dar’s assets.
