The Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Friday uncovered a huge cache of ammunition and guns in a compound in Karachi's Liaquatabad Town, stated a press release.
On the basis of intelligence they had received, the Rangers carried out an investigation in Liaquatabad Town's Naseer Square Sharifabad. During the search, they uncovered guns and ammunition hidden underground by Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London's (MQM-L) militant wing.
According to the Rangers, the ammunition was intended to be used for violence and target killing in the city.

According to the press release, the Rangers uncovered five SMGs, five 30-bore pistols, two 32-bore pistols, one 9mm pistol, four camouflage jackets and 23 bullet magazines.
In December last year, a Malaysian national was arrested at the Karachi airport for trying to smuggle weapons and ammunition and underwent investigation for having links with the Islamic State.
In March 2017, the Rangers claimed to have recovered a huge cache of arms and weapons on Tuesday belonging MQM-L from Go Aish, an adventure park.
“The Rangers received information about the presence of a huge cache of arms and ammunitions dumped at an adventure park – Go Aish – located within Safari Park,” disclosed the Rangers’ spokesperson.
