Incompetence

NAB can certainly not be blamed for the pathetic state of public-sector educational and health facilities in Sindh

Letter January 26, 2018

KARACHI: The chief minister of Sindh during his recent routine visits to various districts and cities of the province held the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) responsible for damaging the development portfolio of his government. He stated that certain actions and decisions of the anti-graft body have been detrimental to the continuation of development projects. In a nutshell, the CM reiterated that the non-deliverance and the incompetence of his government are due to the bias of NAB officials against them.

Although there might be some truth to the claims of the chief minister, the argument still does less than little to detract from the inefficiency of his cabinet ministers who have been named in corruption cases. Hence, NAB can certainly not be blamed for the pathetic state of public-sector educational and health facilities across the province.
