Peshawar Zalmi, McDonalds collaborate for human rights and sports

McDonalds also announced a special 'Peshawar Zalmi Meal' attributed with the team

McDonalds Pakistan and the Peshawar Zalmi administration signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday leading to collaboration between both the leading brands.

The Chief Marketing Officer of McDonalds Pakistan, Jamil Mughal, represented the fast food giant at the event while the Peshawar Zalmi team owner Javed Afridi represented the cricket team. Director Marketing of McDonalds, Raza Ali was also present at the occasion.

McDonalds is an important sponsor of the team, and its logo will be embossed on the sleeves of the t-shirts worn by the players. McDonalds also announced a special “Peshawar Zalmi Meal” attributed with the team.


All the players demonstrated zeal and fervor because the revenue generated from this meal will be spent on uplifting the lives of underprivileged children. Based on welfare mission, the generated amount will be donated to Peshawar Zalmi Foundation.

Mughal, an advocate of leading a cheerful life speaking at the occasion said, “we fully endorse events of such recreational and professional sports. We firmly believe that sports activities produce positive impacts on the society. Viewing and playing sports helps us to release mental stress and through sports we get help to formulate provincial and national identity as a community for emerging as a prosperous Pakistan”.
