Military helicopter crashes near Haripur, one dead

Helicopter was on a routine flight when it crashed due to technical problems near Tarbela Ghazi military base.

HARIPUR:

A military helicopter crashed near Haripur on Wednesday killing one Junior  commissioned officer of the Pakistan army and injuring four others.


Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that five personnel were aboard the chopper.


According to reports, the army aviation helicopter was on a routine training flight when it crashed due to technical problems near Tarbela-Ghazi military base. The injured also include a colonel.


Rescue activities were started at the site of the incident.
