KARACHI: A married couple was asked to appear before court on Wednesday after the father of the girl filed a case against her husband.
Investigation Officer (IO) Bilal colony ASI Fida Hussain said that Azizullah Khan had accused Imran of kidnapping his daughter Shafaq from Karachi with the intention of zina. After the complaint, the Bilal Colony police, along with the B Section police from Hyderabad, raided an office near the Hyderabad Education Board office and took Imran into custody.
During initial investigations, Imran told the police that he had been subjected to “grave threats” by his in-laws ever since he married Shafaq after the two had fallen in love. Shafaq said that she accepted Imran as her husband and wants to spend the rest of her life with him.
