At least two terrorists of a proscribed terrorist organisation were killed in an intelligence-based operation in the suburbs of DG Khan carried out by Punjab Rangers.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major Asif Ghafoor the terrorists were involved in kidnapping and killing of security forces personnel.
Security forces in Punjab apprehended at least 19 terrorists and their facilitators in raids conducted across the province on Thursday.
In case of US action, Pakistan is ready: DG ISPR
Recently Punjab Rangers along with CTD, police and intelligence agencies conducted IBOs in Sargodha, Bhakar, DG Khan, Attock and Lahore, ISPR had reported.
“[As many as] 19 terrorists/facilitators apprehended. Illegal weapons, ammunition recovered,” ISPR said.
Countrywide raids are being conducted as part of the continuing military offensive, operation Radd-ul-Fasaad against “latent threat of terrorism”.
