Tribute paid to Air Commodore Sattar Alvi
The war veteran presented the flying coverall of the deceased Israeli pilot to PAF Museum

A ceremony was held on Saturday at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Museum to pay tribute to Air Commodore (retd) Sattar Alvi, a renowned veteran of 1974 Arab Israel war. He shot down an Israeli Air Force Mirage aircraft during an aerial combat in Syria.
The war veteran presented the flying coverall of the deceased Israeli pilot to PAF Museum at the ceremony.
Addressing the occasion, Chief of Air Staff Sohail Aman paid rich tribute to Alvi, stating that his feats not only brought laurels to the PAF but were also a source of pride for the entire nation.
The air chief termed the flying coverall of the deceased Israeli pilot a war trophy. He called it a valuable addition to the archives preserved at the museum.

Enemies were conspiring against Pakistan, the air chief said. He added that the PAF along with other armed forces would thwart such conspiracies with the support of the people of Pakistan.
Governor Mohammad Zubair also attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
