Woman and daughter part of a polio vaccination team were killed in an attack by unidentified armed men
PESHAWAR: A woman and her daughter, who were part of a polio vaccination team, were killed a few days ago in an attack by unidentified armed men in Quetta. While Pakistan is trying hard to entirely banish polio, the government is hampered in its efforts by such incidents.
Efforts should be accelerated to educate the masses about the importance of polio vaccination for their children. The government should set up clinics where parents should bring their children for polio vaccination. This will protect polio workers from attacks by miscreants.
