Forces destroy radio tower transmitting TTP messages near Pak-Afghan border

Radio station was setup near Dwa Toi, on the Durand Line

A radio tower that was streaming messages from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan into Pakistan territory was destroyed by Pakistani forces on Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan.

The radio station was set up near Dwa Toi, on the Durand Line, a security official said, adding that the tower was taken down on Thursday morning. The installed tower was allegedly transmitting enemy's propaganda through messages into the country.

Drone strikes kill two near Pak-Afghan border

On Wednesday, at least two militants were killed while another was injured in two drone strikes near the mountainous Pakistan-Afghanistan border with Kurram Agency on Wednesday.

According to sources, the first drone hit the house in Badsha Kot area of Lower Kurram Agency and injured one person. The house was completely destroyed in the incident, confirmed the sources.

The injured has been identified as Khalid and is suspected to be an Afghan militant.
