Khawaja Asif urges Imran to seek mental help before elections

Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif has urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan to seek mental help before the general elections later this year, Express News reported.

The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader said the resolution passed against Imran in the National Assembly condemning his anti-parliament statement was not to scare anyone but to maintain the sanctity of the Parliament. He pointed out that Imran was condemned unanimously on the floor of the august House, no political party took Imran’s side.

Reiterating that such statements cannot be given against the parliament, Asif said Imran was a member of the Parliament yet he used derogatory terms to define it. “Parliament is not government, it is an institution,” he said. He added that Imran was incapable of comprehending it.

Speaking on Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed’s resignation, Asif pointed out that the resignation had not been officially submitted yet. He said Sheikh Rasheed had played a fractal card, assuming that others would resign after him but no one followed his lead.
