Police operation: 80 proclaimed offenders arrested

The police arrested 80 proclaimed offenders and seized drugs and illegal weapons from their possession on Tuesday.

Police officials said that the accused were arrested in a special campaign against illegal weapons, drugs and proclaimed offenders recently launched throughout the district.

District Superintendent Police (DSP) Saeed Ahmed Tatla raided various locations in the area and arrested 80 wanted men and 50 court absconders.

Police officials also took 250 people into custody for obstruction of justice and for theft. Police officials have seized six Kalashnikovs, 6,000 rounds, eight rifles, 10 guns, 34 pistols, 8,830 grams of marijuana, 2,000 litres of liquor and explosive materials.
