Fake security officials apprehended

Drugs, alcohol and guns were recovered from the 14 suspects arrested

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested 14 suspects, including five proclaimed offenders while drugs, alcohol and guns were recovered from them, a police spokesperson said. At least two of the suspects arrested were impersonating law enforcement officials. The official said that Sub-Inspector Rab Nawaz from the Tarnol police arrested Shahid Mehmud for carrying 1.2 kilogrammes of hashish while ASI Imran Haider from Secretariat police arrested Sajjad for the possession of two wine bottles. ASI Javed Iqbal from the Shalimar police nabbed Aabid Aashiq for carrying 10 bottles of wine while Sub-Inspector Shams Akbar from the Ramana police arrested Ejaz for possessing 300 grammes hashish. Separately, ASI Inam Ullah from the Noon police arrested Faiz for carrying a 30 bore pistol. ASI Nasar Ullah from Aabpara police nabbed Babar and Irfan for impersonating as personnel of a law enforcement agency and recovered wireless radios from them.
