
When contacted, the Aabpara police blamed the victim for waiting for so long before reporting the crime to the police. “We registered the FIR the same day we received an application [about the robbery],” said an officer at the Aabpara police station. The victim in his application said that the burglars had made off with an LED television, a camera, prize bonds, an unspecified amount of cash and unstitched clothes from the house in the nighttime raid. Similarly, unidentified car thieves stole a Suzuki Mehran car from DHA Phase-two, within the remits of Sihala police station. Separately, a motorbike was stolen from a house in Sector G-13/1.
Another Suzuki Mehran car was stolen by unidentified car thieves from within the remits of the Sihala police, but officials managed to recover the car and arrest two suspected car thieves. In another case, suspects broke into a car and stole jewellery worth hundreds of thousands of rupees. The victim said that their car had been parked in the upscale Sector F-8/4 when thieves broke into it.
