40 new uplift schemes for Layyah

DC warns no negligence would be tolerated

LAYYAH: The district development committee has approved 40 new uplift schemes with over Rs1.28 billion across the district.

In a meeting, presided by Deputy Commissioner Wajid Ali Shah on Saturday, the DC directed the officials concerned to complete uplift projects within given time period.

He also directed them to complete the local government uplift projects by February 28 and all development projects of ongoing fiscal year by March 30.

He warned that no negligence would be tolerated regarding tender process, utilisation of funds, monitoring of projects and maintaining of quality work.
