Avoid jumping to conclusions

It is comprehensible that the citizenry of Pakistan is angry

KARACHI: A day after the Kasur girl’s rape and murder incident, the news of a minor girl allegedly being sexually assaulted in a school in Karachi surfaced. The school guard, who was accused of molesting the minor, was severely beaten by an angry mob. It took no time for the news of the incident to spread across the country, as even a politician from a party was reported to have visited the school after the incident. Yet, later the initial probe into the incident ruled out the possibility of the girl being sexually abused. This highlights the importance of thinking through and doing a thorough investigation before jumping to conclusions. It is comprehensible that the citizenry of Pakistan is angry but venting out one’s frustration and anger on an innocent is not acceptable.
