CPDI launches ‘Citizens Budget’ for Charsadda

This document will share budget features of education, health, water and sanitation sectors in district Peshawar

CHARSADDA: Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) launched a first-ever Citizens' Budget of District Charssada with support of Saiban Development Organisation.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CPDI Project Coordinator Jamshed Tariq said this is for the first time in Pakistan that citizens' budget was developed at district level.

For the understanding of budget allocations, a citizens' budget is developed in easy to understand format.

The purpose of producing this document is to share with citizens salient development budget features of education, health, water and sanitation sectors in district Peshawar. For the year 2017-2018 total development share coming from provincial and district budget for education sector of district Charssada is Rs160 million 7.4% of total development budget, while health sector development grabbed 1% share of total development allocation.
