Children are insecure in Punjab: Pervaiz Ashraf

LAHORE: Former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has said that children are insecure in Punjab and Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah's statement over gruesome killing of Zainab is regrettable.

He was talking to the media after appearing before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court in a reference for allegedly recruiting over 400 employees in Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO). However, the case proceedings were adjourned until February 3 as the judge was on leave.

Ashraf said that Sanaullah gave an irresponsible statement over Zainab's rape and murder. He said the leaders of the ruling party, rather than condemning or taking steps to deal with the issue, are giving irresponsible statements.

Replying to a question, he said that he would join the PAT protest for the justice of those martyred in the Model Town incident.
