QUETTA: Hundreds took to the streets of Quetta on Monday to pay homage to Osama bin Laden, chanting death to America and setting fire to a US flag, witnesses and organisers said.

Angry participants belonging to a religious party in Quetta, the capital of southwestern province Baluchistan, were led by federal lawmaker Maulawi Asmatullah.

They also torched a US flag before dispersing peacefully.It was the first rally in Pakistan after the United States announced that bin Laden had been killed in an overnight commando mission in Pakistan.

Organisers said between 1,000 and 1,200 people attended the rally, but witnesses put the figure closer to 800.“Bin Laden was the hero of the Muslim world and after his martyrdom he has won the title of great mujahed (Muslim fighter),” Asmatullah said

    Where are the guys…no comments today. Surprising. Where is Khalid Masood and others. Let us not hide our faces, there is nothing wrong. At the end of the day someone who did kill innocenet men, women and children has been killed. Why do you hide and bring him so close to the cause of Islam. Please, come forward and appreciate what has happened and wish that everyone, whosoever he is, an american, An Indian, a Pakistani or a Muslim or a Christian; must be given a dog’s death as has been given to Bin laden if he dares to kill any innocent.

    Afterall, all the life and death is commanded by the almighty and nothing really happens until he does it. If Bin laden has met his anjam in this way, then agree with me that the same almighty has decided this for him and hence, it must be correct.Recommend

    As I see it, it is Almighty who controls and decides everything. Hence it is Almighty who decided that Osama would die the way he did. Let’s respect his wish.
    Why the protest? Is it not protesting against the Almighty?Recommend

    @NJ:

    I don’t know who you are but look at your own hypocricy . What type of name is NJ, Come out and tell the world which terror group you belongs to? Those who have killed one million Iraqis under false pretext of Weapons on Mass destructions, and who are slaughtering Afghans , women , children and Innocent citizens under the false pretect of Usama. Or You are a hindu terrorist hiding under some fancy name. Whoever you are , have courage and come out and declare your own ID first, Then ask others to do the same. LOL.

    @John
    Who is the world? You and your couple of cronies? Naw.. I think world is questioning what are you doing in Afghanstan? Why have you been killing innocent Afghans citizens for the alst 10 years. World is questioning why you Killed One Million iraqis under the fasle pretext of WMD’s. World is asking why you used depleted Uranium on the Iraqi Civil population? Why Your Political and Military leadership should not be tried on Crimes against humanity and War crimes? If you think that That time is far from coming then just look at your defeat by the hands of Afghans for which you have to cut and run. Mr. Your army is defeated. You can do whatever drama of Bin laden to give little boost in your moral and re-elected your President but the reality is that You can Never ever win this war. You are defeated and this is your time to answer about your war crimes comitted in Afghanistan and Iraq. Your cronies will be asked the same question as you are being asked. But I do know that there is a Hindu terrorist under the disguise of John however, my pupose is well served either way.

    @Malay deb
    Hahahaha Nice try !!!!!! Let me ask you that if you are poor then why you try to work and get out of poverty? Just consider it God’s will and do nothing. There is Rule of law that even God wants everyone to follow. They may slightly differ from one religion to anoter but more or less all converge on basics. Rule of law, and Justice is part of it. Justice should be seen and perceived as done. Secrecy is a way of hiding truth and hence Injustice. Secrecy behind 9/11 and Usama are both the two faces of the same coin and obviously done by the same hand. That’s what masses perceive around the world.Recommend

    @ Phajja – did you for a second think of the possibility that John is an Indian? I’ve seen his comments and I believe he is an Indian. Has the doctrine of religion been drilled into your head so much that you simply assume that a person named John can belong only to America or the west and all Indians are Hindus? Do some Wikipedia research on “secularism”. Had the founders of Pakistan done it, you wouldn’t have ended up in this mess in the first place.Recommend

    Can some one identify all these people participating in this rally and have them arrested for honoring a person who declared a war on Pakistan and its people and who is responsible for more chaos in the Muslim world then any one else in living memory. Where is the Government of Baluchistan? Why did they let them organize such a rally? Its such publicity which shows to the world that we are a banana republic!!!!Recommend

    @NJ: Mr, why don’t you label Bush and Obama as terrorists and wish for their dog like death? Have they not killed millions of Muslims around the world and even in Pakistan? Or you don’t have the courage to give the status of human beings to those innocents killed by American drone attacks and nuclear bombardments? Please shun the double standards and hypocrisy!!!!!!!!Recommend
