Justice Nisar calls for report on deplorable condition of public hospitals in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Monday took notice of the blockade of public roads for movement of VVIPs nationwide and called for reports from authorities concerned in this regard.

The top judge also showed his dismay at the deplorable condition of public schools in Karachi.

He also summoned medical superintendents of hospitals as well as demanding a report on instruments at hospitals, medicines, machinery, and availability of doctors.

Settling a fine: CJP takes suo motu notice of Jirga’s decree

Justice Nisar also demanded a report on the the free provision of medicines with the hearing to be held on January 13 at the Supreme Court Karachi Registry.

Earlier, while taking a suo motu notice on the condition of public hospitals in Lahore, the chief justice told the Punjab government that if education and health would not be prioritised the apex court would shut down the Orange Line Train initiative.
