HEC to verify 873 parliamentarians' degrees

The National Assembly's Standing Committee for Education handed over degrees of 873 parliamentarians to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for verification on Tuesday.

The meeting of the Committee on Education was chaired by Abid Sher Ali at the parliament house in Islamabad. The degrees were submitted by the secretary of election commission.

Subsequently, the NA standing committee gave 873 degrees of parliamentarians including the degrees of 249 National Assembly members to the HEC for further verification. The NA standing committee handed over 216 degrees of Punjab parliamentarians , 106 of Pakhtunkhwa, 106 of Sindh and 64 of Baloch parliamentarians to the HEC for verification.

Dr. Adnan | 14 years ago | Reply All the Educational Data should be under control of NADRA which these people and their high powers won't be able to change no matter what and it would be available for higher authorities to view whenever they want. or even the public. HEC lol, like HEC have a digital system of records for these old-fags for the last 20 years ... hahahah ROFLMAO People have been passing exams for the last 35 years by paying money to their higher education systems, e.g. BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION LAHORE, HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION ... Only a National Database Management Authority should have the power to control, integrate and maintain records, like PML-N / PPP or PML-Q people are just gona go their and put HEC or BISE Office on fire or something !then we will see whom records are required at the National Assembly ! :P LMAO !

Vikram Keswani | 14 years ago | Reply This was the roll of election commissioner to verify all the degrees, before the election. Can we trust on HEC for the verification of all Degrees? I don't think so, because no one is trust able in any department.

Even Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would be weeping the fact that he stressed on education 1400 years ago for both women and men, and after 1400 years, we have a muslim country with the uneducated class wanting to lead it, hence calling it a will of the masses. I must say it a shame to every pakistani, that they want to raise slogans against caricatures of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), BUT does NOT want to honor any word that he stated for his ummah to follow.
