Blood Bank: MQM, Japanese Consulate join hands

Government of Japan donates blood screening machines worth Re20 million, will screen 95 blood tests free of charge.

Blood Bank: MQM, Japanese Consulate join hands

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Khidmat-e Khalq Foundation (KKF) in collaboration with the Consulate of Japan in Karachi have set up a blood bank at the Nazeer Hussein Hospital.

The Japanese Consul General, Masaharu Sato, who was accompanied by Deputy Consul General Hikhita inaugurated the blood bank on Friday. “The government of Japan has provided 20 blood screening machines worth Rs20 million,” said Sato.

Meanwhile, MQM coordination committee member Syed Mustafa Kamal lauded the Japanese government for their Rs100 million grant.

The Nazeer Hussein Hospital Blood Bank, costing Rs150 million, would screen blood for around 95 tests free of charge.
