MNAs want environmental degradation to stop

Climate Change Minister met with MNAs, shares concerns over illegal tree cutting, hunting of wildlife

ISLAMABAD: A cohort of female lawmakers from the ruling party on Thursday urged the minister for climate change to take action against environmental degradation in their respective constituency.

The three-member delegation from PML-N including MNAs Khalida Mansoor from Bahawalnagar, Nighat Parveen from Jhelum and Shahnaz Saleem Malik from Dera Ghazi Khan met with Minister for Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan on Thursday and raised alarm about illegal tree cutting and hunting of wildlife

The PM-N political leaders, who are also members of the National Assembly Committee on Climate Change, told the minister that deforestation in their areas has sped up.
