Boxing championship reaches final stage
The All Pakistan Inter-University Boxing Championship, organised by the Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tando Jam in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, has entered its final stage.
SAU’s Mohammad Mohsin and Peshawar University’s (PU) Ziaul Hassa have reached in the final of 49-kilogramme (kg) category while Halar Qambrani of SAU Tando Jam and Sadiq Shah of PU will meet in the final of 52-kg category.
In the other categories, SAU’s Asadullah Bughio will play the final of 56-kg event with Owais Ali from the Superior University Lahore (SUL) while the final of the 60-kg event will be held between Mohammad Khalid of SUL and Furqan Afzal of Central Punjab University (CPU)
Meanwhile, Masood Durrani of SAU Tando Jam will meet Shamsul Haq of CPU in the final of 64-kg category while the 69-kg category final will be played between Muhammad Qasim of CPU and Gul Sher of PU. The final of 91-kg category will be played between Akbar Ali of SUL and Roohullah of PU while in the super heavyweight fight of the 91-kg category, Muhammad Qasim of CPU and Imran of SUL have qualified also for the final.
