Huawei Competition: VU student wins second prize
HEC Chairman has praised the performance and selection of VU students
LAHORE:
A student of Virtual University of Pakistan has won the second prize at Middle East Huawei’s International ICT Skill Competition finals held at Shenzhen, China. BS Software Engineering student Shamim Iqbal has received the second prize at Middle East Huawei’s International ICT Skill Competition finals.
Iqbal represented Pakistan and distinguished himself among 7,000 students of more than 50 higher education institutes across Pakistan. He has the experience of working with laboratories and tackled some of the industry’s most complex challenges related to cloud computing, switching, routing, and other key ICT solutions and technologies related to digital transformation. He performed well in the finals and eventually secured second position. HEC Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed has praised the performance and selection of VU student during his address at International Social Sciences Conference as this contest nurtured higher standards of performance in Pakistan’s ICT sector.
