20,000 schools to be solar-powered in Punjab
Initiative aims to guarantee bright future for the country, says Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that 20,000 schools will be turned into solar panels to ensure continued power supply under the Ujala programme, according to Radio Pakistan.
He remarked while chairing a meeting to review the progress on the Khadim-e-Aala Ujala programme in Lahore.

The Punjab CM added that the aim of the initiative is to guarantee a bright future for the country.
He said the project is being completed at a fast pace. "In the first phase of the project 10,000 schools would be solarised in southern Punjab."
