Abbasi's tweet garnered some criticism from his followers.
One of the Twitter user wrote, "Speechless at your naïveté. He’s one the reasons for the most important foreign policy failure of Pak government. I can’t think of a country that has managed to develop without developing good relations with its neighbours."

However, this is not the first time Abbasi has spoken up about the JuD leader.
Previously, the Mann Mayal star supported Hafiz Saeed when he won quite few seats on local elections.
India blames Lashkar-e-Taiba, which it claims is the militant wing of JuD, for masterminding the 2008 attacks in Mumbai that killed 166 people. Hafiz Saeed denies involvement in the attacks.
The JuD, who has been designated by the US as a global terrorist, was recently released from house arrest following court orders.
