In accordance with Punjab Government’s decision to start Motorbike Ambulance Service in nine divisional headquarters, Bahawalpur has become the fifth division where this service had been started.
In this regard an event was held in Quaid-e-Azam Medical College where Provincial Minister Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar was the chief guest.
Rescue 1122 Director General Rizwan Naseer said that Motorbike Ambulance Service had rescued 17,000 people and its average response time on the spot of the incident remained 4.7 minutes.
He maintained that these motorbike ambulances will be used as mini ambulances which were equipped with life-saving equipment.
On the occasion, Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar said that Punjab chief minister was making efforts for the development of South Punjab. He said the government was taking revolutionary steps in health and education sectors.
