Five militants killed in police encounter at Super Highway
None of the police officials killed or injured
Five militants were killed in a police encounter at the Super Highway on Saturday.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar, police officials, acting on a tip-off, conducted a raid in Ayub Goth located on the Super Highway, Express News reported.
During the raid, an exchange of fire took place between the police officials and the militants. As a result of which five militants were killed, however, none of the police officials were killed or injured, the SSP said.
Police continues to carry out a search operation in the area.
SSP Rao Anwar has killed dozens of suspected militants during the operation in Super Highway and its adjoining area.
