RAHIM YAR KHAN: The family of a gang rape victim, Masooma*, protested after the police failed to arrest the accused.

The family burnt tyres and blocked the main road for several hours, alleging that station house officer (SHO) Abadpur police station was threatening Masooma*, her mother and father to revoke their application.

The police allegedly registered a false FIR and arrested the aggrieved family members.

The family said that five landlords in the area had served the family drugged tea at a wedding in Dera Musher and abducted Masooma.

The men then took her to Khanpur, where four men raped her for 25 days.

Talking to reporters, Masooma* said she would commit suicide if she was not provided justice.

*The victims name has been changed to protect her identity
