Civil society activists demand release of missing colleague

Civil Society Network Pakhtunkhwa (CSNP) held a protest demonstration and demanded immediate safe recovery and release of human rights and social activist Raza Mahmood Khan.
During the demonstration outside Peshawar Press Club, speakers raised concerns over Mahmood’s disappearance. The protesters chanted slogans and demanded authorities to disclose Masood's whereabouts.
CSNP supporters also asked the rulers to give space for human rights and social rights defenders and instead of muting their voices, listen to them.
Rights Activist Taimur Kamal condemning Masood’s enforced disappearance stated that the state should protect journalists and human rights defenders. Besides Kamal, Dr Younas Luqman Afridi, Gul Nawaz Khan Mohmand, Radesh Singh Toni, Rauf Yousafzai and other social and political activists condemned what they called was enforced disappearance of human rights defenders.
