Protesters denounced Trump’s decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital

MULTAN: Hundreds of people took to the streets in various parts of South Punjab, including Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rahimyar Khan and other areas to protest against American president’s decision to declare the city of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and for attacking on Pakistan’s sovereignty by issuing notices. The demonstrators also burnt the effigy of US president and chanted slogans against Trump for his pro-Jewish policies.

The demonstrations were held at Kalima Chowk and Madrassah Qasimul Uloom while a rally was organised that commenced from New Multan and concluded at Chowk Nawan Shehr after completing the six-kilometre distance. On the occasion, the protesters burnt the National flags of United States and Israel. The protesters denounced Trump’s decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and described it insane and illogical.
