Three Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred while another was injured in unprovoked firing by the Indian army in the Rakhchikri sector in Rawlakot along the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), India's "unprovoked ceasefire violation" led to an exchange of fire, resulting in the martyrdom of three soldiers.

The incident occurred on the same day convicted Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav's family visited him in the capital as part a humanitarian gesture by Pakistan.

Pakistan has repeatedly condemned increasing ceasefire violations by Indian forces due to which, several civilians have lost their lives.

Islamabad has been urging New Delhi to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement, investigate the incidents of ceasefire violations, instruct Indian forces to respect the ceasefire in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC. However, the violation of the truce has still been continuing.
