The father of the girl stated in his complaint to the police that his five-year-old daughter was raped, said police. “My daughter was playing outside her house with other children. When she did not return home after some time, I got worried and started looking for her. Just as I approached Malik Muhammad Fayyaz’s house, I heard a girl’s screams. I stopped and knocked the door and saw a man named Shafiq forcing himself on my daughter.”
Report confirms that fight for gender equality is far from over
Upon seeing the father of the girl approaching, the suspect tried to flee, but he caught him. Later, he was handed over to Saddar Bahawalpur police. A case has been registered against him.
