Ten of a family die in Indus Highway crash
Two coaches trying to overtake each other hit the vehicle carrying family

Ten people died and a dozen got injured in an accident at the Indus Highway near the town of Sann on Sunday.
The deceased belonged to the same family including six children, three women and a man.
According to SHO Wada Chachar police station Liaquat Kunbhar, the incident took place when two coaches trying to overtake each other hit the pickup killing all of its passengers. The drivers of the coaches, however, managed to escape.
The traffic ground to a halt on the Indus Highway for an hour until the local police cleared the road. The Motorway police, despite Sindh High Court's (SHC) order, has still not been deployed on the highway.

The police, assisted by residents of the nearby localities, helped pull out the dead and injured from the vehicles.
An FIR was lodged at Sann police station on the complaint of Shahid Ali Shaikh, a member of the deceased family, under sections 320, 279 and 427 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The bodies were handed over to Shahid after the postmortem.
The 132-kilometer stretch of the two-way highway, which consists of just two lanes, from Jamshoro to Sehwan frequently witnesses fatal accidents.
Eight killed in separate road accidents on Indus Highway
The SHC is hearing a petition for increasing lanes, deploying motorway police and restricting movement of heavy transport vehicles. The court has given orders on all three counts.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah laid the foundation stone for the construction of two more lanes on either side of the highway last week.
