ISLAMABAD: A man allegedly killed his brother and a woman in a Jhelum village on Saturday after the two had allegedly eloped.

According to initial police investigations, Muhammad Asif had been angry with his brother, Muhammad Azeem, for eloping and then marrying an already married woman Rashida Parveen.

Meanwhile, Parveen’s family told the police that she and her weeks’ old baby girl had gone missing from her home near the Mangla Cantt earlier this month. They suspected Azeem of kidnapping the woman.

On Saturday evening, the woman’s family was told that Asif had allegedly killed Azeem and Parveen in a far-off village near Domeli.

The woman’s family told police that Asif, after committing the double murder had taken the baby girl had fled to another village near Dina where he handed the toddler to a family.
