The Academy Awards will be marking their 90th anniversary in 2018. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jimmy Kimmel will be returning to stage to host the event that will take place on March 4.

The teaser released shows Kimmel expressing his Christmas wish for the year - "for you to watch Oscar on March 4 and a jet pack." He later thanked his mother before launching off.

Earlier this year, ABC and the Academy announced that Kimmel will be reuniting with producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd for the the 2018 ceremony. They had originally joined hands for last year's Oscars but were overshadowed by the envelope fiasco that announced La La Land as the best motion picture, instead of Moonlight.

On his return, Kimmel also joked, "If you think we screwed up the ending this year, wait until you see what we have planned for the 90th anniversary show."

The late-night host also expressed that he was delighted to be emcee for the 90th edition of the show. He quoted, "Hosting the Oscars was a highlight of my career and I am grateful to the Academy for asking me to return to work for them."

Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment also revealed, “After just one year, we can’t imagine anyone else hosting the Oscars. Jimmy’s skillful command of the stage is invaluable on a night when anything can happen — and does."
