LAHORE: Another shameful incident of child marriage has surfaced in Punjab where a 20-year-old girl was forced to marry her 10-year-old cousin so the family’s property stays within the family. The incident might be slightly different from many others as this time a girl is older in age than her ‘groom’ and not vice versa, it still points at the issue that the struggle to curb child marriages is far from over in Pakistan.
