MPA Khalid Sargana said that the vision of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was aimed to empower women and raise the standard of life in rural areas.

He added that balloting for animal distribution among deserving women of various villages of Faisalabad District will be initiated and these animals could not be sold for 3 years.

Earlier, Sialkot District Commissioner Muhammad Asif distributed buffaloes and cows among 252 poor and deserving women. The animals were given to underprivileged rural women to help them financially.

The measure would enable them to earn a respectable livelihood. Earlier in November 2016, as many as 260 poor women of Kot Chatha District received sheeps and goats free of charge under the Punjab government’s Ghareeb Parwar Scheme.
