Gujranwala Commissioner Saeed Wahla said this on Thursday during his visit to Sialkot Cadet College.
He said as many as 90 students have so far been admitted to the recently established college. Project Director Rana Zahid Hussain said that so far Rs262 million, out of the Rs330 million allocated for the project, had been spent. He said that 12,650 feet long boundary wall had already been constructed around the 159-acre structure. Besides, he said, the construction of Admin Block, 12 classrooms and two hostel buildings were also complete. He said work on four playgrounds that were approved in the project design could not yet begin because the required funds had not been made available. Commissioner Saeed Wahla directed DCO Mujahid Sher Dil to ensure completion of construction before the start of next academic session.
