KARACHI: The Sindh government has banned jeep racing in Karachi and Thatta for the next six months. The decision has been taken following the recent killing of a college student in Karachi who was shot dead after colliding with a motorbike that was racing with another one. Such incidents, however, have been happening for long not just in Karachi but other provinces and cities too. Therefore, the government should impose a permanent ban on it and extend it to other districts and cities as well. Similarly, other provinces should also take measures to curb road accidents that take place as a result of racing and driving exceeding the speed limits.
