As many as 17 teams from all over Pakistan are participating in the event.
In the inaugural ceremony, PU Sports Director Dr Zafar Iqbal Butt, Sports Deputy Directors Zubair Butt and Tahira, officials, managers and a large number of players participated in the event.

On the first day, competitions of 100 meteres, 400 meteres, 1,500 meteres and 5,000 meteres races, shot put, long jump and 100 meter relay race were held in which athletes showed outstanding performances.
In one hundred meter race, Shafaq Afreen from Iqra University Karachi won the first position and was declared fastest athlete of the event. PU’s Turab Zohra stood second while Government College University Faisalabad’s Nadia took the third position. In 100 meteres relay race, Punjab University clinched the first position.
