Breeds, including German Shepherd, Labrador, White Weiler, American Stafford, Dobermann, Boxer and others were prominent. Adrian Jones, KM Rai and Imran Hussain acted as judges in the show.
During the dog show, dogs enthralled audience in baby class, puppy class, junior class, intermediate class, open class, champion class and veteran class.
Day out: Dogs, humans have a howler
Kennel Club of Pakistan president KM Rai said the purpose of holding this show is to provide entertainment to the people and to apprise them of different breeds of dogs.
He added in 2008, Pakistan was made part of the organisation and each year, 26 shows including five international shows are held.
Rai maintained, “I have served as a judge in 21 countries and during this time I have organised 53 international dog shows.”
He pointed out holding such events help in promoting the soft image of Pakistan.
On the occasion, Adrian Jones, who hails from Australia said, “I heard that no one is safe in Pakistan due to law and order situation. But I enjoyed being here.” He said , “I feel more secure and comfortable in Pakistan than in Melbourne.”
