RAWALPINDI: To facilitate patients and providing better health facilities at the Out Patient Departments (OPDs) of Allied hospitals in the garrison city, an online system is being introduced. The patient registration procedures at the Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) OPD has been computerised in the first phase, while the second phase would see OPDs at the Holy Family and District Hospitals digitized and connected to the online system. Rawalpindi Medical University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Umar inaugurated the system in BBH. The installation of the online system in public sector hospitals would help smooth functioning of the departments since various procedures including the registration, medical check-ups, provision of medicines and others would be directly monitored by the authorities, he said.
