Football: Karachi United beat IBA girls

KARACHI: The IBA girls football team was defeated 1-0 by Karachi United Girls at the KMC Ground in an all-girls friendly.

Sarah Hameed, captain of the IBA team, said that “playing football provides us a refreshing outlet to escape from the pressures we face in our daily lives”. Mashal, captain of Karachi United Girls Team, also appreciated the fact that girls are able to participate in sports which were previously labelled as ‘boys only’.
