Cricket: Women’s match rained off

COLOMBO: It was another disappointing day at the Women’s Quadrangular Series in Sri Lanka, as all four teams scheduled to play had to settle for a point each with both matches in Colombo rained off.

The match between Netherlands Women and Pakistan Women was reduced to a 20-over match. At the Nondescripts Cricket Ground, Netherlands women were put in to bat and only managed to get to 68 for six in their allotted 20 overs. However, Pakistan women never got a chance to start their chase after the match was abandoned.
