Pakistan’s Farhan Mehboob marched into the semi-finals of the Asian Squash Championship after beating his Indian counterpart Harinder Pal Sandhu in the quarterfinals yesterday.
The second-seeded Farhan won his match comfortably, handing Sandhu an 11-8, 11-8, 11-4 defeat. In the other quarter-final, Malaysia’s top-seed Ong Beng Hee defeated compatriot Elvin Keo 11-8, 11-4, 9-11 and 15-13.
Sidharth Suchde of India and Nafizwan Adnan also sailed into the semis by winning their respective quarter-finals. Suchde overcame Kuwait’s Abdullahal Mezayen in five games while Adnan beat compatriot Asyraf Azan 3-1 to enter the last-four.
