BAHAWALPUR: Insurance cheques worth Rs3.9 million were distributed among widows of Pakistan Post officials in Bahawalpur on Friday.

Bad state of Pakistan Post Office

The cheques were distributed among 12 widows by Postal Services Divisional Superintendent Ghufran Amjad and Senior Postmaster Farooq Ahmad.

In this regard, a ceremony was held in General Post Office Bahawalpur by Postal Life Insurance Services, where cheques were distributed. Divisional Superintendent Ghufran Amjad said that Postal Life Insurance provides a safety shield to its officials.

Pakistan Post facing severe financial strains

He added, “We fulfill our promises in securing the rights of our employees and provide their families with financial assistance.” He said that cheques worth Rs3.9 million were distributed among 12 widows of Pakistan Post employees. Meanwhile, District Development Committee Bahawalpur approved five schemes of highway department in a meeting held under the chair of deputy commissioner.
