Earthquake tremors felt in Peshawar, Chitral

Epicentre recorded to be Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan

An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale shook parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during peak hours on Friday, Express News reported.

Tremors were felt in parts of Peshawar, Chitral and surrounding areas. The earthquake struck 186 kilo metres deep in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.

No casualties or damage to property was reported however, the people rushed out of their houses and offices in panic.

Earthquake tremors felt in parts of Karachi

Last month, tremors were felt in parts of the province and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) after n earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale originating in Parachinar. It shook Kurram Agency, Swat, Dir, Malakand, and Peshawar districts, and surrounding areas.
